Access to Higher Education Diplomas
If you don't have A level qualifications, completing an Access to HE course will allow you to progress on to study for a degree. Our access courses are open to adults without formal qualifications and are accepted by most universities for entry onto undergraduate degree courses. Financial support is available and we can advise you on how to apply and access funding.
Short courses
At Ruskin, we run a range of short courses, from Tailored Learning (previously called Community Learning) to awards and qualifications. All of these courses help our students acquire new skills, improve their mental health and confidence, and build personal and professional networks. Tailored Learning: ESOL for Beginners - Entry Level 1
If you are new to the country and would like to meet new people in similar circumstances and learn English at the same time, then this course is for you.
Award in ESOL Skills for Life - Speaking and Listening Level 1
Have you taken part in previous ESOL lessons and now want a formal award to show your progress and use for employment? Then these courses are for you.
Tailored Learning: Introduction to Sociology
Come and join us for this 10-week introductory course. Debates and discussions are our thing here and you will have an opportunity to learn some key principles, theories and hypotheses along the way.
