This course is designed for individuals who need to improve their level of English proficiency beyond beginner level and who aim to develop their language skills for employment purposes. It is suitable for:
- Individuals who have completed ESOL Level 1 course or with equivalent proficiency
- Individuals preparing to enter the workforce in an English-speaking environment.
- Individuals looking to improve their basic workplace communication skills.
You must be 19 years of age or older to attend this course.

- Practising small talk in a work context.
Week 3-4: Job Applications and CV Writing
- Creating detailed and tailored CVs.
- Filling out online and paper job applications effectively.
Week 5-6: Interview Techniques
- Practising responses to intermediate-level interview questions.
- Using polite and professional expressions in interviews.
Week 7: Workplace Culture and Etiquette
- Understanding and adapting to office culture in English-speaking environments.
- Exploring norms around teamwork and communication.
Week 8: Writing for Work
- Crafting professional emails and short reports.
- Writing clear and effective messages for workplace communication.
Week 9: Job-Specific Language
- Exploring intermediate vocabulary relevant to specific industries (e.g., customer service, healthcare).
- Practising role-specific phrases and expressions.
Week 10: Real-World Scenarios
- Simulating workplace scenarios, including team meetings and problem-solving.
- Applying learned skills in mock interviews and workplace situations.
