This course is designed for individuals at the beginner level of English proficiency (ESOL Beginner Level) who aim to develop their language skills for employment purposes. It is suitable for:
- Beginners preparing to enter the workforce in an English-speaking environment.
- Individuals looking to improve their basic workplace communication skills.
- Immigrants or newcomers seeking foundational English skills for professional adaptation.
You must be 19 years of age or older to attend this course.

Week 1-2 - Introduction to Basic Workplace Communication:
- Common workplace vocabulary.
- Simple professional greetings and introductions.
Week 3-4 - Introduction to Job Applications and CVs:
- Understanding basic CV formats.
- Filling out simple job application forms.
Week 5-6 - Building Confidence for Interviews:
- Practising simple interview questions and answers.
- Basic etiquette during interviews.
Week 7 - Workplace Behaviour:
- Understanding basic office norms.
- Practising polite expressions in a professional setting.
Week 8 - Writing Basics:
- Writing simple and clear sentences for emails.
- Introduction to writing professional messages.
Week 9 - Job-Specific Vocabulary:
- Learning key terms for common job roles (eg, retail, hospitality).
- Practising basic vocabulary for professional interactions.
Week 10 - Practical Workplace Scenarios:
- Role-playing common workplace situations.
- Applying foundational skills in realistic contexts.

Skills acquired
By the end of the course, students will:
- Recognise and use basic workplace vocabulary.
- Understand and complete basic job application forms and CVs.
- Respond confidently to simple interview questions.
